Question: Does eating baby food (like Cerelac) help you gain weight? If not, what else could I try in terms of food/medication?
I eat quite a lot and have a good metabolism but it's funny I wouldn't gain.

Brief Answer:
Its genetic

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing to HCM.

I have gone through your query, and i understand your concern.

But chances of gaining weight from baby foods is same as that with any other adult food. Baby foods just don't have very complex food to be easy in digestion as baby's digestive tract takes time to get matured to adult level.

Regarding your problem, so all i can say is that its a genetic condition. Some people have a reduced energy efficiency (as per the latest studies). Its just like some vehicles have a better fuel mileage than other, meaning you spend more energy to do any work as compared to other people. So you burn out all the calories you eat, despite having a good appetite.

And this is something that is determined genetically, and nothing can be done about it.

Infact you should take this positively, that you can enjoy all the foods, while many people pay and sweat out to reduce and do all sort of dieting by killing their desires.

Hope i have been helpful.

Regards,
