Does Eating Excessive Sweets On A Single Occasion A Cause For Concern During Pregnancy?
I am 17w pregnant..last month I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and I had cut down my sugar intake.. Now last week I got my blood sugar done and it has come 138 my doctor said it's normal and today I had this craving for sweets and I had XXXXXXX and few chocolates, now I am worried..if this over consumption of sweets will be harmful for my baby in anyways?
Also I want to ask from which month in can start using stretch marks cream
Do not worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. A 1 hour post meal sugar level of 138 is just borderline. Eating excessive sweet items on a single occasion is not so worrisome. You should check your blood sugars tomorrow, especially fasting and post meals. You should further follow the diabetic diet and keep your sugars under control, as high sugar levels have adverse effects on the fetus. Diabetic diet includes some meal or snack every2 hours, so the craving is usually decreased.
Stretch mark cream or oil can be started from fifth month of pregnancy.

Is eating mangoes a day is not advisable during pregnancy due to it being warm? Also, can being in diabetic diet having a XXXXXXX or a slice of it in a day is not right? .
preferably avoid mangoes
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX thanks for responding. Mangoes are as such not contraindicated in pregnancy. However, since you are diabetic you should preferably avoid eating mangoes as it easily causes deranged sugar levels.
