Does Excessive Vitamin D Dose Cause Nausea, dizziness And Fatigue?
Question: My doctor prescribed 2000 IU of Vitamin D, which I started taking a week ago. I wasn't paying attention and
realized that with my other supplements I have been taking 3400 IU of Vitamin D a day. On .Monday night I took my morning dose of meds instead of evening. I ingested 6400 IU of Vitamin D. I have been incredibly sick. Nausea, dizziness, fatigue, weakness. This has been going on since Tuesday. I have generalized seizure disorder, anxiety, and depression which I am taking meds for all three. my question is what should I do? I took 3400 IU this morning before I realized it might be the Vitamin D might be the issue. I feel horrible.

Brief Answer:
It takes months for hypervitaminosis to occur
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
After going through your suffering, the symptoms you described are not suggestive of excessive dose of vitamin D,as Hypervitaminosis D symptoms appear several months after excessive doses of vitamin D are taken.
So,you may continue with the other medicine and stop the daily dose of vitamin D for few days.
Hope this helps and I shall be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
