Does Frequent Masturbation Cause Enlarged Prostrate Or Kidney Stones?

default
Posted on Tue, 17 Nov 2015
Question: I am 36 years old boy.
I have habit of masturbation every alternate day.Sometimes I masturbate consecutive days also. I have been masturbating since last 10 years. I like doing it but don't know how safe it is to do every alternate day. I am married and have 8 years old daughter
I want to know whether frequent masturbation causes enlarged prostrate gland problem or kidney stones?

My another query is that my wife is pregnant again and she is in her 7th month just started. We have stopped doing sex as I don't know how safe it is doing in this last trimester. But I like kissing her nipples and breasts. Will it harm her in any way? She finds difficult to control the urge of having sex, though she controls it.

Brief Answer:
Sexual intercourse is safe in third trimester

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Masturbation on consecutive or alternate days is safe, and it does not cause prostrate gland enlargement or kidney stones.
Sexual intercourse is safe in third trimester of pregnancy, and can be done.
Kissing nipples and breast do no harm, however frequent sucking nipples in third trimester of pregnancy can induce preterm labour. Such act once in two three days will be ok, but increased frequency can induce labour.

Thanks for the detailed answer.

I am getting lower back pain since last 3 days. The pain has now shifted to right stomach area.

The urine test report was normal but doctor has asked me to do sonography for possible stone formation. I want to ask what is the treatment for removing kidneystones? Is the treatment very painful?

Are the above indications pointing towards kidney stone formation only?

I am extremely scared now what will be revealed in the sonography report.

Brief Answer:
Treatment depends on ultrasound findings

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Lower abdominal pain can be due to renal stones or due to urinary tract infection.
The normal urine test report rule out infection, however ultrasound Will be confirmatory for stones.
Treatment of urinary stones depends upon the the size of the stone and can be by various methods, either surgical or non surgical.
I suggest you not to worry and first get your ultrasound done.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Hello mam

Today I went for sonography.

Reports show 3.5mm non obstructing calculus in lower calyx of right kidney.

Rest all is normal.Kidney has no infection.

Dr says this stone is deep inside the kidney. So the current pain is not due to this stone.

Pain may be due to the fact that a stone might have passed or some thrash may be remaining.

First day I had lower back pain. From second day the pain shifted to right side lower abdomen.Today my right leg is experiencing pain occasionally. Why is happening? Is it true that another stone might have passed or particles could be still there?

Brief Answer:
Plenty of fluids

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
a stone in the lower calyx of kidney will not cause the pain, as told by your doctor.
However, when one passes the stone in the urine, the pain is severe and shifts from back pain to lower abdominal pain.
The pain in the thigh is due to the radiation from the pain in the lower abdomen.
There is little possibility that the stone particles are still passing, as it causes severe pain in the lower abdomen.
I will suggest you to drink plenty of fluids and take alkasol syrup 2 times a day to facilitate passage of any particles left behind.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
