Hi,
Thanks for writing to us
A proper nutritious diet helps in maintaining good hair. Adequate amounts of proteins, complex carbohydrates, vitamins like A,E, pantothenic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 apart from copper, selenium, iron, zinc etc are required for hair growth.
To get adequate share of these include
lean meats, liver, soy products, cheese, sprouts, lentils( protein)
Complex carbohydrates like wheat germ, whole grain cereals, whole wheat bread along with nuts, seeds and XXXXXXX leafy vegetables provide for multivitamins esp B complex group
Sea foods and walnuts, pumpkin seeds provide for essential fatty acids and copper in diet.
Liver, whole grain cereals, dark XXXXXXX leafy vegetables, eggs, dates, dried fruits and raisins are all XXXXXXX in iron. Lentils provide not only iron, but zinc as well, plus biotin, essential to hair growth and strength.

Apart from these, carrots, cherries, berries, XXXXXXX leafy vegetables, red bell peppers all aid in good hair growth.

Smoking and drinking both can lead to weak hair follicle and thus hair fall by decreasing blood circulation and leading to vitamin deficiencies respectively.

Having said all this, apart from nutritional deficiencies hair fall in males can be hormonal too( androgenetic alopecia) where one loses hair from frontal, temporal area and centre of the scalp.
In your case, your hair fall could be due to severe dandruff, androgenetic alopecia or nutritional cause. Sometimes, chronic illness, thyroid disorder, surgery etc may lead to har fall too.
I would suggest
Use a good ketoconazole based shampoo like scalpe lotion or keraglow AD every alternate day to keep hair dandruff free.
Improve your diet, you may take hair supplements like follihair or keraglow forte
Also consult a dermatologist, so that the pattern of your fall could be seen and an appropriate diagnosis be made to suggest effective treatment.

Hope that answers your query. Should therebe any doubt, feel free to write back. Take care.
