Does Hydroxyzine Cause False Positive Pregnacy Results?

Question: Hello I am on a medication called hydroxyzine.(I have to take it otherwise I'm in extreme pain) but I want a baby so I am on it until l conceive. Last month I took a couple early pregnancy tests last month they said yes. Well, so I stopped taking the hydroxyzine then I took one right before my period and it said no and got my period. Well this month early again it is saying yes. Is this medicine giving me false positives, cuz its so upsetting. Some advice and answers please. Thank you for your time. Sincerely XXXXXXX

Therefore I suggest you get serum beta hCG blood test which will confirm pregnancy accurately. This medicine makes pregnancy test unreliable. Let me know if you have any more questions. Must it be built up in system? Cuz I took one at another day after one night being back on hydroxyzine and it was negative and one week and it was negative. But ya its been a month on it now. So my question is must it be built up in system for the false positive?

Brief Answer: No Detailed Answer: Hi, Its not built up in your system nor it is only for you. This drug is known to give such false results in majority of women who take. Therefore pregnancy test cannot be confirmed based only on pregnancy test results. Regards
