Does Intake Of Forcan-150 Help In Curing UTI?

Question: I am a diabetic patient on insulin and Forxiga-10 treatment. Insulin for last 15 years 26 units morning and same dose evening. Forxiga for the last 4 months. Metformin also 500 mg SR two tab- before B/F and before dinner. I have developed Urinary tract infection for the last 11 days. Itching and reddish skin. I met my doctor day before yesterday who has prescribed Forcan-150. But it is not showing much of improvement. What should i do.

welcome to health care magic, I had gone through your question very diligently and I share your concern.

There are chances of UTI especially with uncontrolled diabetes,
I would advise you to go for urine test like microscopy and routine test as well as culture and sensitivity test

you may require a course of antibiotics according to reports of culture and sensitivity test.
I would also advise you for latest blood sugar fasting and post prandial test as well as HbA1c to see for blood sugar control, you may need to adjust dosage of insulin and metformin.

meanwhile maintain good hygiene and have plenty of fluids.

I had gone through your reports you have uploaded very diligently.
Looking at your description it seems you are not having any urine infection rather sugar is present in urine.
Sugar in urine may facilitate local infection as well as fungal infection
In my opinion you should continue with flucon as your doctor advised.

In addition to that you need to adjust the dosage of insulin and anti diabetic drugs for better control of blood sugar.

You can apply antiseptic and anaesthetic ointment for symptomatic relief.
