Does Intake Of Norethisterone Help In Preventing Breakthrough Bleeding?
Question: I am on a ultra low dose birth control pill, .02mg. and I take it continuously....and I have breakthrough bleeding, which doesn't bother me. However, , I will be going on a trip, and be having a sexual partner, and I do NOT want to be bleeding during that time. I have heard from another doctor, that you can continue to take the low dose birth control pills, and a couple days before you leave for the trip start also taking Norethisterone 5 mg, and take that and your normal BC pill for the entirety of your trip and you won't have any bleeding. She said this works very well at preventing bleeding and that its used by a lot of women who do not and cannot bleed in certain situations, like this. Is this true?
