Does Intake Of Valium Tablet Help In Controlling Severe Anxiety?

Question: Q: I have a question in regards to my condition I wish to seek help for. Basically I have really bad anxiety . Panic attack to a point of fear of losing my mind or control. This has me so scared to even get to a psychiatrist . I have a friend who has given me 5 5mg Valium tablets . I want to go to a phychyatrist but I need something to calm me before I go to see one. Would u think I would be safe taking one of these pills before I go ? If I don't have something I won't be able to go I know it with how I feel ? Would it help me ?

Single tablet will not cause any major problem. But it does cause sedation. So avoid driving after taking this drug.

As it is a prescription drug, it is ideally to be taken after a doctor's valid prescription.
