Hi,
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. I think I can help you.
First , yes fish lIver oil may be used. once a day is sufficient.
The levels of sugars are high and obviously, the diet control is not sufficient.
You should check creatinine levels and if found normal , I would suggest starting tab metformin.
An initial dose of 500 mg once daily should be fine to start with. Then gradually increase the dose. Many brands are available eg glycomet. You can choose the brand available locally.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal

Hi
Thanks for your response.
It would be better to take the medicine in the morning.
The abdominal pain is a side effect of the medicine.
This is usually seen in extended release tablets. Avoid them at the start. Take the plain tablets.
I think it would be prudent to continue the tablet even thereafter since the sugars are coming to normal due to tablets.
Monitor the sugars with a glucometer regularly.
