Does Persistent Use Of Advil And Ultram Cause Kidney Damage?

Question: My son is having surgery the 15. His blood work came back questionable for his kidneys . He has been on Ultram for about a month and a half. He had been taking advil 800 twice a day before the Ultram. Could this be the problem? I know nothing about Ultram.

Advil is the culprit, Ultram would cause more of liver issues

Please note that the Advil would cause kidneys to have less blood flow to them thereby causing them to be "injured", this is temporary and avoidance of the culprit drugs and drinking enough water will normally resolve the lab values.

The ultram will not affect the kidneys traditionally.
