Does Pneumococcal Vaccines Cause Swollen Arms, Joint And Abdominal Pain?
Question: I was given the pneumonia, the second one on Tuesday, by We'd. My arm spelled and was painful, my joints ache and by Fri. Morning I had abdominal pains that feel like labor pains. What can be done and how long does this last?
Brief Answer:
What specific vaccine was given?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
There are many different vaccine preparations to prevent against pneumonia. I will like to know the specific that was used in your case. This way, I can review it entirely to see if your symptoms are suggestive of anything else that needs to be addressed.
However, this is more likely to be benign and might just respond to rest and Tylenol. Before settling on this, provide me with the name of this vaccine for more research and insights.
I wish you well and waiting to hear from you!

I don't know the specific vaccine and the Dr.'s office closed till Mon. Can you give an idea on how long these symptoms will last?
Brief Answer:
They generally last less than a week!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Such symptoms are transient and will not go beyond a week. I will recommend 1000mg of tylenol at most thrice daily for relief. When you do get the name of the vaccine, share with me for further review and guidance.
