Brief Answer:
Polyp HPE required. Melanosis not cancerous.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

Polyp in the colon can be benign, dysplastic or malignant.
The exact pathology in the polyp can be determined only after histopathological (HPE) examination of the polyp after removal.
Melanosis coli or melanosis of colon could be due to many reasons.
Melanosis coli refers to brown-black discoloration of the colonic mucosa.
This discoloration can be due to accumulation of lipofuscin in macrophages in the lamina propria of the intestine.
This change could be due to intake of laxatives containing pigment or pigment introduced during endoscopy to name some conditions.
The polyps associated with melanosis coli are usually non-pigmented.

Melanosis coli is a non-neoplastic condition.
Histopathological examination of the polyp is required to assess the histopathology of the polyp.

If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.

Brief Answer:
Caecum is part of large intestine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
The polyp is present in the sigmoid colon.and melanosis is present in rest of the colon.
Caecum is a part of large intestine, and it is commonly involved in diseases of colon.
So, there is nothing to worry about it.

Thanks and take care
