Hi. The colon has following parts. From right lower abdomen the colon starts as cecum-> ascending colon ,going upto liver-> turns to left as transverse part ( wherein the mass is located -> turns down in the left area from spleen as descending part-> sigmoid -> rectum and last is anal canal. The part is in the upper middle of your abdomen. ( 12 cm proximal to splenic flexture)
