Does Pre-ejaculate Fluid Contain Sperm?
Brief Answer:
there is sperm there
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
although the quantity of sperm in absolute numbers is very low, there is sperm in the pre-ejaculatory fluid. Here is a link that will probably persuade you:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC0000/
This is a medical study which addressed this issue. They found adequate concentration of sperm in the pre ejaculatory fluid, comparable to the real ejaculation!
Kind Regards!

Yes, I've also seen studies that have said no sperm what so ever. There needs to be more research done. But if its produced at the cowpers gland how can it contain sperm unless there was some already there. Also that study said the 37% that did have sperm in it may have used semen due to embarrassment of not being able to produce pre ejaculate. This is the only study that has found sperm in it that could cause a pregnancy but there is very limited research done. There needs to be more done, it would save a lot of accidently pregnancies
Brief Answer:
more research is indeed needed but it seems that some men have sperm
Detailed Answer:
I agree with you that more research is needed but the fact that in some studies, sperm was found, means that some men have sperm in the fluid even if we can't really explain it adequately. Perhaps a urologist or gynecologist would be more up to date with this subject but I believe that it would be difficult to estimate the pregnancy risk, since it's a tough subject to study. I can't even imagine how it could be organized in an objective way!
The only thing that's fairly easy to do is to study the fluid itself, as the scientists have done in the study I've shared in my previous answer. And if they've found sperm in the fluids then I suppose that at least some men do have sperm (for whatever reason) in their fluids. In the end of the day, most people wouldn't really care how the sperm got there! They would care more for potential unwanted pregnancies for example.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!

Right. All you can really do is study the fluid. That's the only way. And if some men do and don't, then it would compel them to find out why some men do. When theoretically its not supposed. To even with the ejaculated semen you dont know if pregnancy will happen or not. But if they say it contains sperm most people are smart enough not to get it in the vagina. The problem is the result is mixed even between doctors. Some say yes some say no which is why more research needs to be done. Thank you for your time and answer!
Brief Answer:
you're right about that
Detailed Answer:
You're welcome!
And you're right! Some subjects are not very easy to study as I said before, particularly the pregnancy risk. It is indeed considered a risk for pregnancy though. If you search around medical "facts" you'll find out that only few are really evidence based but most of them seem to work with current knowledge! Evidence based medicine is growing but we still need to do a lot more.
Kind Regards!
