Does Removal Of IUD Help In Curing Neck Pain?

Question: I have an IUD question- thinking of having it removed due to several reasons and maybe it can help my neck pain. I had my first IUD placed in 2006. Kept that in until March 2014- had it removed and a new one place the same day. I had a spontaneouse spleen rupture April 2011. In 2012, I started having bilateral neck pain. I have a cervical rhizotomy in 2013 and 2014. I take Cymbalta, to help with the nerve pain. I am scheduled to have another rhizotomy in March. If removing the Mirena IUD will help, I will have it removed and NOT do the rhizotomy. It is not pleasant. Do you think removing it would help my neck pain? I have read other people stories about their pain disappearing or lessening. What are your thoughts?

No use of removing mirena
