
Does Skin Of Chicken Have Fats Which Is Not Good For Health?

Question: hi . when you buy chicken from the market it should be bought with skin or without skin. wanted to understand from the nutrition perspective as it has been always said that the skin of the chicken has fats and should be avoided ?

The skin of chicken would act as the covering like a glove.
When you cook,the juice and fat inside the chicken comes out and gets deposited under the skin.
If you are calorie conscious and dieting,then you can remove this skin and eat the chicken.
In case you are not on diet or calorie conscious,then you can have your chicken with skin on.Difference between two situations means just a difference of 2.5 gm of saturated fat and 50-60 calories in a four ounce chicken breast piece.
It is up to you to decide what to eat and what not.
