Does Smoking Affect Height Of A Person?
Question: Hello Doctor,
Does SMOKING affect height growth in teenagers??
I used to smoke in my high school years from 15 to mid-18 years age.But after I stared going to college at 19,I stared gymming and took up many physical activities(swimming,biking) etc,..
and hence stopped smoking completely.
At present I’m 22,standing at 5 ft 6.5 inch tall
My dad -5 ft 4 inch My mom -5 ft 1 inch
Am I normal or stunted??

Dear sir, In general smoking adversely affect health. so it affects lungs, it affects appetite, it affects your mental state towards life and health, it affects nutrition, it affects cholesterol, it affects blood vessels, circulation. and so on. so at what age and what stage one started smoking and what frequency of smoking is going on all put together affect growth. no 1 + 1 = 2 rule.
