Does The Following Biopsy Report Suggest Malignancy?

Question: Hi i am female 51 5 years back left breast insitu b cancer... had mastectomy... follow regular checks and abdo scans. Was put on tamox for 5 years then stopped on advice by onco 6 months back. 6 mos back abdo Nd TVS showed endo at 0.8 mm and a polyp. Gyn said we will observe for 6 months. 2 days back took TVS. Endo now at 2.2 cm and polyp is 0.8*0.6, no flow. A couple of times bleeding has happened. Rest of scan normal in terms of ovaries etc. My gyn has fixed appt in 2 days. Qn: does 2.2 cm - 3x jump after tamox stopping cause for alarm? Is this indicative of malignancy? Gyn i think will do an endo bio. Pl advise
Brief Answer:
Hello dear. A biopsy is indicated.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. Please do not worry. Tamoxifen is known to cause endometrium proliferation and in some although very uncommonly carcinoma of endometrium. It can only be ascertained by biopsy. However as the incidence of carcinoma is low, you need not to be worried. Most likely it will turn out to be normal proliferation.
Thanks and regards
