What Causes Rashes On The Breasts After A Mastectomy?

default
Posted on Wed, 27 Dec 2017
Question: I have found blood on my pillow off and on. and sometimes on my bed for the past few months.

Last time this happened for over a year, I thought it was from my back. I bled twice on my bra long after it started. It ended up being ductile breast cancer stage one. I was stupid and didn't investigate it. My husband and I feel now that the surgeon didn't give us proper information (we found out later) and I made the decision to have double
mastectomy based on what she told my husband and I. Surgeon seemed to agree with my decision
I then developed a staph infection ma few months later (on my "good" breast) and I had emergency operation. The way I found out it was a staph infection was because my breast literally got unusually large.I was in hospital for several days and while in hospital I started bleeding profusely because drain got loose. They kept me on keflex for 1.5 years. After they did the transfer from expanders to regular implant they found a yeast infection . I had a rash on my breast for awhile before transfer
and my plastic surgeon and dermatologist thought it was nothing. They then put me on diflucan for about a year .

Lately, I have been feeling like my breast are swelling up when I get stressed.

I am a mess.

I had many other issues which I described to one of the other doctors. I feel he was amazing. I am following through on his advice.

Needless to say, I am now worried about blood I am seeing now on my pillow.

I had another emergency surgeon after getting a hematoma on breast that had the cancer after he took drains out . I can't remember the sequence this happened in because I didn't have the drains on my right breast at that time and only remember that

I always wear a nightgown and never saw blood on it which was probably the ductile and didn't see any blood now on my nightgown (which I always wear).

Needless to say, I am now worried about blood I am seeing now on my pillow.

Please see my medical history. I am nervous about the breasts too.
