Hi Dr. PFA the reports. My insulin level was on a bit higher side, for which I am taking Bigomet SR- 500. Also, there was some infection in my husband's sperms. And he took the medication for 15 days as advised by Dr.
Please give your valuable advice.
Please give your valuable advice.
Brief Answer:
Repeat semen culture advised
Detailed Answer:
I have seen the reports and glad to inform you that all are largely normal.
The low vitamin D levels can be easily taken care of supplements on weekly basis.
Insulin levels are very non specific and are not relevant if other hormones are in normal limits and thus will be taken care by metformin as prescribed already.
After antibiotics it is important for your husband to get a repeat semen culture to ensure complete cure.
In case you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks Dr. I have some questions. 1. I am having cold and cough these days and taking medicines like antiallergic and cough syrup. And today is the 6th day of my cycle. I hope the medicines will not interfere with my cycle or conception?
2. While having intercourse, my husband uses coconut oil as lubricant. Is it ok to use oil as lubricant? Can u specify some sperm friendly lubes?

Brief Answer:
Visna gel can be used
Detailed Answer:
No dear there is no interactions of the cold medicine with the fertility drugs.
Coconut oil should not be used and in case you always need lubricant then visna gel is a very good option.
But still any lubricant should be avoided in mid cycle as it can interfere with sperm motility.
All the best and may god bless you with a healthy baby soon.

Thanks. in last cycle ovulation occured on day 14/15 acc to tvs scan. Should I get the scan done in this cycle too? If yes, from which day onwards? Today is the 9th day of my cycle.
Brief Answer:
Yes you can
Detailed Answer:
Yes you can have a follicular scan done.
Get it after 2 days and then you can know the approximate date of your ovulation and just one more scan will tell the exact date and thus a planned relation with your husband according to that will enhance the chances of pregnancy.
In case getting a follicular scan is cumbersome for you then you can also try LH kits from market and check LH levels in urine which will predict upcoming ovulation and thus spare you from the hassle of visiting for ultrasound scans.
All the best.

When should I go for next scan to confirm ovulation? Is it required?
Brief Answer:
Only testing LH surge will suffice
Detailed Answer:
DGet a scan on day 15 if convenient but it is not mandatory as there is a good sized dominant follicle.
If possible buy LH kits instead 3 in number.
Do first test on 14th day of cycle and if positive ovulation is confirmed.
Take care
