Does Vitamin D3 And Baby Aspirin Medication Alter ALP Numbers?
You are quite right ma'am
Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Yes, vitamin D3 supplements being used therapeutically especially to treat bone conditions (eg. osteoporosis) cause regrowth of the bone which in turn can cause raised levels of ALP. This rise in the level of ALP is mild and is only temporary (it returns to normal once the vitamin D3 supplements are discontinued).
Your ALP level of 127 IU/L is indeed mildly raised, but still falls within the normal range in my country (i.e. 44 - 147 IU/L), and as long as it is still within normal limits there is absolutely nothing to worry about ma'am.
I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help you.
Best wishes.
I doubt that it would ma'am
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.
I doubt the supplement (calcium, magnesium and zinc) would contribute towards the rise of ALP level, and even if they would it would be too mild to even be noticed. In my opinion, the rise is mainly and solely due to the vitamin D3 supplement ma'am.
Your are most welcome, and please do not ever hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always available to help.
Best wishes.
