Brief Answer:
normally not

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

whooping cough (pertussis) is not supposed to cause lung infiltrates. Sometimes though, its course can be complicated by pneumonia, so it can't be totally excluded. 2% of adult patients may present with pneumonia.

Upper lobe infiltrates should be evaluated along with your medical history. For example, an old persistent cough particularly if you've come into contact with patients suffering from tuberculosis could be proven to be relevant. If the infiltrates get better with treatment then you can attribute it to whooping cough.
