Bone density test will help in detecting osteoarthritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Just three weeks of stopping the statins may not show much difference. The improvement of symptoms after stopping the culprit is the only way to know that the pain is caused by the stains.
Additionally you need to continue Vitamin D3 supplements and do regular stretching exercises of the muscles. Doing a hot compress in the painful area and exercises like swimming can also help.
Do start taking calcium supplements also and you will see an improvement in next few weeks. You can also get a bone density test done to find out the extent of osteoporosis you have.
I hope this answers your query.
