Drank Expired Milk, Rinsed Mouth, Could Not Vomit. Am I Going To Be Sick?

Question: I just accidently drank 1 swallow from a previously unopened milk carton that is 7 weeks out of date. I noticed a funny taste and stopped and rinsed out my mouth but attempts to vomit up the sour milk have failed. Am i going to be sick? What can I do that will help?
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Swallowing an out of date milk can cause gastroenteritis - pain abdomen, diarrhea and vomiting.
If you are asymptomatic then you can start with a bland and easy to digest diet. Avoid caffeine, alcohol and all dairy products for few days.
In case there are no symptoms over next 72 hours then there is nothing to worry and you are out of danger. In case the symptoms appear, then consulting a physician will be helpful in proper treatment.
Hope this answers your query. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.

Wishing you good health.
