Question : Could excessive comsumption of beer affect not being able to hold an erection? I am 55, good health, work hard, never had this problem before.

Thanks for the query.

Erectile dysfunction can be caused by many many factors.But beer consumption shouldnt have any direct relation to ED.Excessive alcoholism may cause ED problems sometimes but with years of abuse.And usually stronger substances than beer are the cause.
Some of the other main causes are drugs,neurological disorders,psychological disorders,ageing,kidney failure,smoking,medical conditions like diabetes etc.
It seen more commonly in 60's.Some drugs are available to help with treatment.
