Getting Rhomboid Muscle Pain And Heaviness In Chest. Are They Related?
Thanks for writing to us.
It seems to be rhomboid muscle spasm. It can cause slight heaviness in your chest as your rhomboids attach your shoulder blades to your thoracic wall. Constant work can lead to muscle tension and soreness, especially if you are in a slouched or hunched position all day at your desk.
The treatment usually involves rest with pain killers in combination with the muscle relaxants along with good physiotherapy exercises.
You can do a hot fomentation and apply a local analgesic gel on the area to relieve the spasm.
Hope this helps you. Please do write back if you have any additional concerns.
