Getting Tingling In Face, Light Headedness And Blurred Vision After Sneezing. What Is The Cause?
Question: I suppressed a sneeze yesterday and immediately had face tingling, lightheadedness and blurred vision. What is the cause?
Hi,
Thank you for contacting Healthcare Magic.
Your symptoms are most likely to be due to "pre-syncope" or near fainting.
This happens when the blood flow to brain is temporarily decreased, which can happen after suppressing a sneeze.
If you do not have any risk factors for stroke (such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, high cholesterol or smoking), there is no need to worry. If not recently tested, you may get tested for them.
So, at present, there is no need to worry. If symptoms recur, you may see your GP/Neurologist.
Please get back if you have any more queries.
