Thank you for posting your query.
Your mother has suffered from brain strokes and she is at a higher risk of getting strokes in the future too. The known risk factor in her is high blood pressure.
As of now, the medications are on the correct lines. The essential medications in her are:
1. medicines for BP control- the target BP in her is below 120-140/80-90 mmHg.
2. Blood thinners such as aspirin
3. statins, such as atorvastatin or rosuvaststin: this would keep her cholesterol normal and prevent strokes in future.
Every six months, you should get her blood sugar, blood cholesterol and homocysteine checked. These are all risk factors for stroke, if elevated.
Physiotherapy and exercises should be continued on a regular basis.
In terms of diet, she should have a low fat diet, and avoid non veg and oily foods. Sweets in moderation are allowed. Fresh fruits and salads are encouraged.
I hope it helps. Please get back if you have any more queries.

Taking pills for pressure has no long term side effects, in fact, it is good for long term health to keep pressure within normal limits with pills.
She would benefit from using coconut water, fruit juices, curd, etc in diet.
