Had Gallbladder Removed. Worried Without Gall Bladder? Is That Fine?
Question: Well, I had my gallbladder removed 1 week ago, I am 64, very healthy and I am a Fitness professional teaching Yoga, spinning, kickboxing every day.
I am obviously very health aware.
I am a little worried of what to expect from now on.I don't like when people say:"it's ok, it's not necessary to have a gallbladder" Well, if I was born with it , the body needs it.
Thank you

Hi XXXXX
Thanks for writing in
I appreciate your concern for the God's given organs
Yes most organs have their own role to an extent
Though there are vestigial organs like appendix, nails etc
The gall bladder serves the purpose of storing bile, so when ever you consume extra fat the additional bile needed for digestion is released from GB and the process goes on
In absence Of GB you may have undigested fat in stool and not a major concern
Hope this helps
