Hi and thanks for the query,

Analyzing this problem will require a few precisions to be made with respect to your past medical history and other clinical signs and symptoms.

Is this the first time you are experiencing this?
Is the weakness same on both hands?
Do you experience any changes in sensation?
When does the weakness aggravate? what ameliorates the weakness?
Any family history of this weakness?
Do you experience similar weakness with any muscles of the body?
Any headache, paralysis or pain syndromes else where?
Have you been exposed to agricultural fertilizers or sprays?

This questions shall be important in orienting towards particular causes.

These could range from rheumatologic conditions, neurologic disease like motor neuron problems, autoimmune disorders, or purely skeletal muscle lesions. It would be appropriate to tests to look for specific circulating immunoglobulins, an electromyogramme to check for appropriate impulse transmission in the neurons, a clinical evaluation to rule out muscle waiting in one of the hands and a general neurologic examination.

I strongly suggest you book an appointment with a neurologist for prepare clinical and laboratory testing.

Waiting for your response,
Dr Luchuo, MD.
