Have PCOD. Gaining Weight And Have Injury In Knee. How Can I Lose Weight?

Question: Hi Doctor,

I have PCOD am i gain weight very easily.
Currently i weight 69kgs and height is 5'3" .
I really want to loose weight , but due to injury in my knee i cannt join any activity also.
Please suggest me something so that i can loose weight.

After taking protein supplements recommended.

People with PCOS often have a difficult time losing weight. However, there are several things you can do:
a.     Speak with your physician about metformin. This drug partially helps people with PCOS lose weight and also takes care of other symptoms.
b.     The diet needs to be modified. The following guidelines can be followed:
Eat small meals every 3-4 hours
Take 3-4 litres of water daily
5-6 servings of fruits and vegetables daily are required
Say no to junk food, fried food, excessive sugar ( don’t take more than 1-2 tsp per day) and fruit juice.
Have plenty of XXXXXXX tea
Dont eat outside more than once a week. Whenever outside, eat baked, grilled or steamed items.
c.     Practice some yoga and kapalbhati pranayama under the supervision of a trainer. This will help you tone up
