Question: Have a dull ache on right side lower back. Sometimes relieved by passing gas. I have had the pain previously on and off for several years. Seems now more persistent.

Have previously been diagnised with IBS several years ago, and had a kidney stone n 1996.

I have studied your case.
There is possibility of recurrence of kidney stones.
pelvis and abdomen ultrasonography will help in diagnosis.

You may need MRI spine to rule out spine problem.

blood test like kidney function test and CBC may help.
Till time take analgesic and plenty of fluid, Eat easy to digest food.
