Bronchial Asthma with seasonal allergic rhinitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting the query on XXXXXXX After going through your query, I would like to comment the following:
1. Your symptoms are consistent with a diagnosis of bronchial asthma with seasonal allergic rhinitis. Eosinophilia, rhinits, eczema, eye irritation are all associated with asthma i.e they are manifestations of atopy.
2. You need to visit a Pulmonologist and get your treatment titrated as per your pulmonary function test parameters. Considering your symptoms the inhaler dose of formoflo may have to be increased along with addition of an antihistaminic medication as well as a nasal spray eg. azeflo nasal spray twice a day.
3. Also since you have symptoms since childhood and history of recurrent infections along with eosinophilia, you need to get your serum IgE levels and also rule out bronchiectasis since there is a possibility of a condition called as ABPA - Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. Oral steroids may be required in such condition and HRCT Scan of thorax may be required.
4. Also an antacid medication like Cp. PAN 40 may be taken on empty stomach in the morning.
5. Yearly flu vaccination and 5 yearly pneumococcal vaccine will definitely decrease the rate of secondary respiratory infections.
I hope I have answered your query. I will be glad to answer follow up queries if any.
Please accept my answer if you have no follow up queries.
