Hello,

This may be the start of arthritis,
but her symptoms as you said have been present only for a month. So the best thing to do would be to test her for arthritis in the form of rheumatoid factor, Anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA) and antinuclear antibodies (ANAs).
These tests can easily be done under the guidance of a Rheumatologist.
In the mean time she should be on like Naproxen or Etoricoxib to give her relief from pain and swelling.

Hope I answered your query.

Please let m,e know if there are any other concerns.

Regards,
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
