Have Lot Of Body Hair Due To Hormonal Imbalance. How To Remove This?
Question: my sister has a lot of body hair from hormonal imbalance .she is now 3 months pregnant is it safe to use hair removal strips or cream around stomach area .her age is 30 yrs .
Dear XXXXXXX,
Your sister is probably suffering from Hirsutism. Medically speaking there is no problem in using hair removing strips in pregnancy. In some cases there may be folliculitis i.e. infection of the hair root, if that happens it may require treatment with antibiotics which may be an issue in pregnancy. So it is better to avoid it in pregnancy.
Do write back if you have more concerns.

Dear XXXXXXX
Your sister needs to be investigated for hirsuitism panel which has many hormonal tests but all these should be done after her delivery and she should be treated accordingly.
We can discuss the tests and further course of action once she has had her baby
