Have Painful Inflammation Near Throat And Lip With Fever And Body Pain. Took Paracetamol. Suggest Medicine?

1) I have inflamation near the throat. It is severely painful. Even if I swallow the saliva my throat is painful. I have this condition since Thursday night. Also I had an inflammation inside my lower lip but 70% of it is cured. I also had mild fever and body pain since Friday morning. I took paracetamol but after 4 hours of taking the pill the temperature returns. For your examination I have attached the pictures of the inflammation above the throat and lips. Please prescribe me the medicines and dosage and also if any tests that has to be done. I am worried.
Common treatment of sore throat
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for consulting us & providing a good account of your history.
I have seen your pictures & I can see one lesion inside your lower lip & your throat specially the tonsil area look inflamed.
I think you need Antibiotics in addition to Paracetamol.
Please have a "throat swab test" from your throat & a "pus culture & sensitivity" from your lip ulcer.
If there is any possibility of a sexually transmitted disease please consult a physician before trying any medicine.
I usually give Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) 625mg three times a day for 5 days to my patients with similar problems as a first line drug.
Treatment can be reviewed depending upon the response & reports of the swab test when they are ready.
You must not take it if you are allergic to it.
Try saline gargles & steam inhalation 2-3 times a day. Avoid cold liquids. Take bath when you feel feverish.
Continue Paracetamol 1 gram three times a day.
It is always wise to consult a physician personally before taking any treatment & if you do not feel better after 24 hours.
Wish you good health.
Take care.

One thing can be herpes but I did a Herpes test in March. I have only one partner. She doesn't have any symptoms like this.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Other common STD's that can produce similar pictures are, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, Chlamydia, herpes & even HIV.
Remember partners can always be asymptomatic.
Better to get yourself evaluated by physical examination by an expert.
