Iam being treated for a urinary tract infection but no pain from that
Brief Answer:
Peptic ulcer, gallstones or stomach infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
If the pain is located in the upper middle abdomen, pain is caused by peptic ulcer. If the pain is present in the upper right abdomen and radiates to the back, gallstones are the problem.
If the pain is in middle abdomen, diarrhea is present, gastrointestinal infection is the reason.
I suggest you to have blood work and abdominal ultrasound first. If WBC will be elevated, gastrointestinal infection is most possible. If all this tests will be negative, gastroscopy should be next.
In case of gastrointestinal infection please try Rifaximine treatment.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
