Have Swelling On The Lips Of Vagina With Red Rash Looking Spot On The Lining And White Discharge
Could you get Trichomoniasis by performing oral sex on someone?
RULE OUT INFECTION, ALLERGY.
Detailed Answer:
It appears as if you have a vaginal infection. The redness, swelling and discharge all three point towards that. The commonest infection is yeast ( candidiasis ). Other causes could be Bacterial vaginosis or a parasite called Trichomoniasis.
To rule out infection, you need to see a Gynecologist, who would examine you internally, and take requisite vaginal swabs to target the exact organism causing the infection.
Based on the results, treatment can be started.
The second possibility is irritation or allergy to some substance. But that would not cause the discharge.
However, till you schedule your appointment , the following can be done -
1. Avoid wearing nylon or synthetic undergarments. Stick to plain cotton .
2. Avoid laundering your inner clothes with harsh detergents or in a common laundry pool
3. Do not keep the area wet or damp for too long ( staying in wet swimsuits etc )
4. Do not clean or rub the area over vigorously with medicated or perfumed soaps or cleansers. Do not douche. Clean with plain lukewarm water, and XXXXXXX dry thoroughly. Do NOT itch.
5. Use an OTC cream like Clotrimazole ( it is an antifungal ) with Hydrocortisone ( steroid ) . However, it is better to apply anything locally only after your doctor has a look at you, and makes an exact diagnosis.
6. Get your blood sugars checked, and if overweight, try to curb your weight.
7. Avoid contact with allergenic tissues, toilet paper, condoms ( latex ), sprays, soaps etc.
8. Get yourself tested for STDs.
Take care, and please feel free to discuss further.
