Have Throat With Red Streaks, Intestine Problem, Burning Crotch And Butt. Underlying Cause?
August 2012 intestinal and colon problems. Hospitalized-colonoscopy-Diag. mild colitis. Bowl scans-negative. Had endoscopy. mild acid reflux, small hernia.
Still have intestine problems and red burning crotch and butt and red streaky throat.
Have been to too many drs. with no help. In Aug. I had severe hungry and sore I had a tape worm.
Lost 25 lbs. My cat had giardia...I was tested twice-was negative. Cat couldn't tolerate medication, had
her put to sleep. Summer 2012 I swam in contaminated township lake not knowing at the time. After swim-had cyst in groin.
I've been to ENT dr., for throat-ct scan-could have infection in back of sinus? Would have to cut it open to see.
I didn't. Not conclusive enough. Testing by Allergists-allergic to trees, mold, dust mites and such. My Insurance is not going to continue to pay for all these dr visits. have 8 page typed everything that has happened to me in 1 yrs time. Need to know which kind of dr to see. Many variables and scared now. Was told by 3 drs. throat from smoking. ? Culture on throat-negative. I quit smoking a month ago-throat no better. 4-8-13 started disability from stress and depression. Now told drs don't know everything and maybe it could emotional. Feel like no one knows or can help. Any ideas appreciated. Thank you XXXXXXX YYYY@YYYY
Thanks for posting your query.
According to your description Red streaky throat, burning crotch and butt may be due to vitamin deficiencies especially iron and vitamin B 12 deficiencies. Long standing intestinal problems can interfere with absorption of vitamins.
You can go for blood tests to see anemia, which may be caused by vitamin and iron deficiencies. Fresh vegetables & fruits can help to correct vitamin deficiency. Vitamin supplements can be tried.
Moreover, Acid reflux can irritate throat and cause inflammation (sore throat) and heartburn. Avoidance of irritation like smoking, alcohol, spices can help. Yogurt with lactobacilli can help to reduce the symptoms.
You should re-visit ENT specialist and rule out sinus infections.
You should boost your immune by healthy diet, regular exercise and proper sleep.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further question feel free to ask.
Wish you god health.
