Having A High Temperature From Waist Below. Why?
Thanks for posting your query.
The body temperature is usually distributed evenly throughout the body and can be measured at sites which are not exposed to environmental temperature like underarms, oral cavity , rectal temperature etc. Out of these the core body temperature most accurately resembles the rectal temperature which can be measured by a doctor or a trained medical professional .
Difference in body temperature may occur if there is any difference in atmospheric exposure(like clothing ), abnormality in blood supply or nervous control in the body causing preferential change in temperature of a particular body part.
First of all you need to document a temperature both oral/axillary and rectal to confirm such an occurrence . This can be best done by consulting a doctor . Many times what we feel as hot may not be so and any temperature less than 99-100F would not be considered fever at all.
Hope this answers your query.
I'll be available for any follow up queries .
