Hi,

Children do shiver during fever. Shivering is a mechanism of the body to increase your temperature so that you can fight off infection. There are times, when children show more shivering. that should not be a matter of concern if it settles down on its own once the fever is down.

As far as the ear ache is concerned and since its associated with fever, it would be a good idea to just do a walk in and get the ear inspected from inside and just in case if the antibiotic needs to be added than the doctor can do the same.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gaurav Nigam, Pediatrician
