Having Itching On Elbow And Knees. Have Rashes Around Groin And Scrotum. What Should I Do? Bacterial Growth?
Question: I have a tendency of itching specially on elbow and knees during rainy season. What I should do ? Is it some kind of bacterial growth ? Or it is because of dryness? Another problem I have is of rashes around groin and scrotum. It happens whenever I walk much or weather is too hot. I usually apply some body lotion everyday morning after Bath. But that is not permanent. even after applying lotion sometimes I have those rashes. kindly suggest some permanent solution.
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
You might be suffering from a fungal infection.
It is called as Tinea cruris, and mainly involves the folds of body like arm pit, groin etc.
Also this condition is more common in rainy season.
Apply oint clotrimazole in night for 1 month anr clotrimazole powder in day.
You will get good relief but remember to continue the treatment for 1 month.
This will help in complete cure.
Take tab cetrizine daily one, till the time itch is there.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you
