Having Pain On Ribs And Feels Difficulty To Breath. How To Get Relief?

deeply. It is also painful in bed and I get referred pain over my right shoulder.
I am very pleased that your surgery and your
chemo was successful and you are in remission
from colon cancer. Also glad to know that CT-scan
and ultrasound were O.K.
Pain under the rib cage and pain on breathing
suggests either an inflammation of the pleura
or the covering of the lung (Pleuresy) or
irritation of the nerve ending of the Intercostal
nerve that is at the bottom of the rib, called
"Intercostal Neuralgia". This may be totally
unrelated to your cancer. The only other
possibility is scar tissue or "Adhesions" from
your abdominal surgery that can happen after
several months of surgery.
You can discuss these with your physician and
get necessary treatment.
Sometimes, doctors can inject the area with a
mixture of cortisone and lidocaine (Anesthetic)
and that may be all that is necessary unless the
problem persists or gets worse.
I wish you well.

You are very welcome and I wish you well.
