The red spots you are describing can be urticaria, follicullitis, eczema, lichen planus etc.

Also before going ahead I would like to know-

Are the spots itchy?painful?

Since when you have this?

Are they raised or flat?
Is it stationary or increasing in size?

Is there any other symptoms that you have?
Are you on any medication?
