Having Severe Sinus Problem. How To Cure This Problem?
Welcome in H.C.M. for consultation.
I have gone through your query regarding your sinus problem and you are having recurrent upper respiratory infections in the form of running nose and cough etc.
Here I would like to tell you that sinusitis is the infection of sinuses, and they are named according to their location in bones of face –
(1) Maxillary sinus- Present inside cheek bone.
(2) Frontal sinus - Present in bone of forehead.
(3) sphenoid sinus- Present in sphenoid bone at the base of skull.
(4) Ethmoidal sinus-Present in ethmoid bone, this bone lies between nose and eye.
Symptoms of patient depend on which sinus is involved, there may be involvement of one or more than one or some times all the sinuses are involved.
Therefore to plan the management you should go for these basic investigations-
(1) C.T.scan of paranasal sinuses.
(2) Culture and sensitivity of nasal discharge and throat swab.
After this, a thorough examination of nose and throat is must by an ENT specialist to collect the clinical findings and after their co-relation with inferences of investigations, one can make a final diagnosis which can be accordingly managed.
