Having Severe Stomach Pain And Vomiting. Prescribed Prebiotic. Can I Give Zentel?

Question: Hi, my daughters age 7 & 8 are having not severe stomach pain now, for 4 days. We just came back from holiday trip. Only one day the pain was bad (they rated it 5/5) and they vomited. But now they look ok, can play and still talkative, can eat, but not as much. And on and off, they told me the tummy ache, but very very mild one (they rated it 1/5).
The local doctor gave medicine to get rid of the wind, and some prebiotic.
Question: should I give them zentel as well ?

Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
Your daughters had some gastritis related problem during the trip mostly because of contamination.
As the pain severity is coming down, nothing to worry.
Continue the medication as per your doctor advise.
I advise you not to give zentel at present. Zentel is a prescribed drug for worm infestation and it should not be given in children with acute pain abdomen.
Once the pain completely subsides and the children becomes normal and healthy, then consult the pediatrician for the advise on zentel administration.
Hope I have answered your query, if you have any clarification please let me know.
Regards.
