Dear Ms
Ultrasound of abdomen and ct scan are quite sensitive in picking up and ruling out cancer. In the absence of preceeding history of trauma presence of Liver Hematoma requires further assessment by following
1. Tumor markers : alpha fetoprotein level
2. Bleeding and coagulation profile
If both of these reports are normal , along with CT scan strongly suggestive of Hematoma them cancer can be conclusively ruled out.
