How Are Adult Circumcisions And Vasectomies Performed?
Details in the answer.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Adult circumcision is usually done under some kind of anaesthesia - either Regional or penile block, Spinal anaesthesia or general anaesthesia.
After that the penis and surrounding areas is cleaned and prepped with Betadine solution for sterility. Incision is made after pulling the prepuceal skin with hemostats. The first incision is an incision on the top side skin to the level of the corona( the ridge between the glans and the shaft penis). Then the incision is turned to one side along the glans and then all around the glans from both sides till the posterior(behind) part is reached. Here to not injure the Frenular artery a stitch is put on the body side and the skin is cut distal to it to remove the excess prepuceal skin. Then sutures are put all around the cut edges of the remaining prepuceal skin and a dressing is given after ensuring that there is no bleeding. The dressing is changed daily or alternate day. The wound heals in 7 to 10 days.
I hope you have understood. You could also watch videos of the same online on Youtube.
What details would you need for Vasectomy? I was wondering as you are only 16 years old and Vasectomy is done as a sterilization operation for men who have completed their families and had the requisite number of children that they and their wives had planned.
Do let me know if you need anymore details,
Take care,

Vasectomy is explained in the answer.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
In vasectomy operation we tie and cut the Vas deferens( the cord carrying the sperms from the testicles to the Urethra). This ensures that when the person ejaculates after the operation there are no sperms in the ejaculate and therefore no pregnancy can happen and therefore the male becomes sterile.
It is done by injecting local anesthetic drug onto the skin of the scrotum and a minute incision(cut) which is not seen after surgery.
