Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

It is true that seemingly mild addiction is most potent addiction have lowest rate of deaddiction success among all substances of abuse. Often people comment that this is just some gutka and simple addiction but it is considered gateway of addiction for almost all substances and most difficult to get rid of.

Although there are no rehabilitation centers for tobacco chewing but the counselling can help you appropriately. Practically speaking I often use bupropion for gutka deaddiction which helps in reducing craving. In addiction the bupropion also helps in avoiding the weight despite increase intake of sugary diets.

It is also important to keep exercising during gutka deaddiction which helps you in managing the stress and withdrawal symptoms to a large extent.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for reverting back to me.

Yes I have active deaddiction practice and gutka chewers make a fair representation in my OPD patients. Although I do not keep the record of success but I feel around 50-60% of my patients do not observe any relapse during three month follow up even after decades of use. I mean to say that more than half achieve enough control on the chewing of gutka in my patient group.

Regarding referral to specific doctor or specialist I am not aware who is best there in Navi XXXXXXX In my opinion searching at local search portals must help you.

Regarding stains you will need simple procedure called scaling at dentist office (courtesy to my life partner who is dentist). This is outpatient based procedure which will take hardly two or three sittings of half to one hour.

I hope this helps you further.
